Alex Bike Shop was founded in Alexandria, Minnesota with one clear goal — to bring a true, high-quality, full-service bike shop to the local community. What started as a lifelong passion for cycling grew into a business built on experience, pride in workmanship, and a genuine love for helping people ride. From day one, we’ve focused on stocking quality bicycles and accessories that are built to last — bikes our customers can trust and truly enjoy for years to come.

Owner Nate has spent more than 20 years working on bicycles and has logged thousands of hours in the saddle himself. Long before opening the shop, he built custom bikes as a hobby and later became a service manager at another bike shop, where he developed not only advanced mechanical skills but also a strong passion for helping customers find the perfect bike. He believes choosing the right bike should be exciting and stress-free, not confusing or rushed.

As a lifelong Alexandria resident, Nate understands the local riding community and the value of having a dependable neighborhood bike shop. From the Central Lakes Trail to neighborhood streets and lakes-area adventures, Alex Bike Shop is here to support riders of all ages and experience levels — whether they’re purchasing their very first bike, upgrading to something new, or simply stopping in for advice.
